Update!

I went and visited the 6-5 Homeroom teacher.  She’s a teacher that speaks English well…and she’s always (well…since she started last year) been very nice to me.  I explained to her what went down this week…and then the two of us went and had a chat with NewYouYou in order to determine the best way forward.  All in all…I think that engaging the homeroom teacher was a good decision.  It’s not always the best idea…you really need to make sure that it’s a homeroom teacher who is going to give a fuck at the very least…or…even better…a homeroom teacher who is going to take an active roll in ensuring that his/her students do better.

So…a productive meeting…and we all felt better at the end of it.

I also stopped and had a chat with the girls I told off earlier.  I just said sorry…and asked them to try and do their best.  They were all very responsive and seemed to appreciate my open and honest approach.

The bottom line here is that YouYou created this situation.  One of the girls said that the girls don’t want to talk…because when they answered YouYou’s questions…she would sometimes mock their pronunciation or accent (even though one of them is essentially English).  Fuck YouYou.
